Pipeline open season announced
Saddlehorn Pipeline Co. and ARB Midstream have launched an open season to seek transportation commitments for the Matador pipeline, which will get oil produced from Adams and Weld counties in Colorado to the existing Saddlehorn Pipeline owned by Magellan Midstream Partners and Plains All American Pipeline.
The Saddlehorn carries oil from the DJ Basin to storage facilities in Cushing owned by Magellan and Plains. The Matador pipeline is being developed by DJ South Gathering, a subsidiary of ARB, and is expected to be in service by late 2019 with an initial capacity of 220,000 barrels per day. Interested customers must submit binding commitments by 5 p.m. Dec. 7.
