SOONERS’ 3-2-1 KICKOFF

3 Players to Watch

Kyler Murray: The Oklahoma quarterback will play in his first, and almost certainly last, Bedlam game. He’ll need to make it a memorable one in order to keep pace with Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa in the Heisman Trophy race.

Kenneth Murray: The sophomore captain will not only be needed to anchor the middle of OU’s defense, but also to control the emotions of his teammates in a rivalry game. Ronnie Perkins: Perkins’ role has grown significantly since Ruffin McNeill took over as defensive coordinator. The Sooners have shown more four-man defensive fronts, and that has meant more playing time for Perkins off the edge.

2 Big Questions

Will Oklahoma’s propensity for penalties continue? Personal fouls were rampant last weekend at Texas Tech. Lincoln Riley said keeping those in check was a point of emphasis for OU this week. Who will win the battle between OSU running back Justice Hill and the Sooner defense? The trash talk started early this week with Hill tagging OU players as “littleboys” and “kids” in an Instagram post.

1 Wild Prediction

Kyler Murray will account for seven touchdowns

Saturday, tying his OU single-game record he set against Baylor. Murray shares the record with Baker Mayfield.
