The Oklahoman

3-2-1 KICKOFF

- NATHAN RUIZ, STAFF WRITER

Oklahoma State completes its 2018 home slate against No. 9 West Virginia at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. Here’s what to look for:

3 Players to Watch

Tylan Wallace: Wallace’s best performances have come against ranked Big 12 opponents Texas and Oklahoma. A big game would help him secure a spot as a Biletnikoff Award finalist.

Taylor Cornelius: Since the Cowboys’ open date, Cornelius has 10 total touchdowns and no interceptions in three games, averaging almost 370 passing yards per game. It’s his senior day.

Jordan Brailford: Possibly playing his final game in Stillwater, Brailford will look to add to his Big 12-best nine sacks against Will Grier and the Mountaineers.

2 Big Questions

How much will Justice Hill play? A rib injury suffered against Baylor and aggravated against Oklahoma held Hill, the Big 12’s second-leading rusher, to five carries last week. If Hill is limited or out, expect a heavy dose of Chuba Hubbard and J.D. King. Can OSU stay disciplined? The Cowboys are 2-1 as an underdog and have been their most disciplined in those games, committing no more than five penalties and having 52 or fewer penalty yards against Boise State, Texas and OU.

1 Wild Prediction

OSU’s defense holds David Sills V without a

touchdown. Like Wallace, Sills is a Biletnikoff Award semifinalist. A finalist last season while tying for the national lead with 18 receiving touchdowns, Sills’ case is again built around scoring; his 12 touchdowns are tied for the second most in the country. He’s scored at least once in all but one Big 12 game and enters Saturday’s matchup with a five-game touchdown streak. OSU quieted Sills last year, limiting him to three catches for 44 yards and no touchdowns.
