Downing Wellhead leases building

Downing Wellhead has leased a 40,000-square-foot industrial building on 6.11 acres at 2132 SE 15 from Inland Machine and Welding Co, in a transaction by broker Danny Rivera with Price Edwards & Co.

Since 1980, Downing Wellhead has been one of the leading oil field pressure control manufacturing companies in the region. The leased facility is for manufacturing wellhead systems and fracking equipment.

Commerce Bank to move operations

Commerce Bank, based in St. Louis, has signed a lease to move its Oklahoma City operations to Atrium Towers, 3503 NW 63. The bank will occupy 7,348 square feet of space at its new location, which has easy accessibility and visibility along Lake Hefner Parkway.

Craig Tucker with Price Edwards & Co. handled lease negotiations on behalf of the landlord, Atrium LLC, which is wholly owned by Love’s Travel Stops and Country Stores.

Work continues on hospital rehab

FORT GIBSON — Work has started on Phase II of the rehabilitation of the military hospital at Fort Gibson National Historic Landmark, said Bob Blackburn, executive director of the Oklahoma Historical Society.

“This phase of the project seeks to return the hospital to its 1870s appearance. This has been a goal of the OHS since the 1980s, and we are finally close to making it a reality,” said Kathy Dickson, director of museums and historic sites for the Oklahoma Historical Society.

OHS acquired the property in the early 1980s. The hospital was a private residence for more than 70 years. The work will allow relocation of the visitor center from the old commissary building to the hospital, and the hospital will become the central point of entry for visitors, with new exhibits, restrooms, a gift shop and office space, Dickson said.

Zenith Construction of Tahlequah was awarded the construction contract. Zenith Construction previously worked with the OHS on the construction of the visitor center at Honey Springs Battlefield in Checotah.

Funds for the project were provided through the maintenance of state buildings revolving fund managed by the Long-Range Capital Planning Commission and OHS maintenance funds.

OHFA trustees awarded Affordable Housing Tax Credits to increase the affordable rental housing stock.

The following will be rehabilitated using Affordable Housing Tax Credits:
