OKLAHOMA STATE SIGNING DAY CAPSULES
Langston Anderson, WR, 6-2, 186, Midlothian, Texas (Heritage)
The late addition to the Cowboys’ signing class, Anderson picked OSU over Mississippi and Baylor when he announced his decision Wednesday afternoon. The four-star recruit is the only receiver in the class.
Sione Asi, DT, 6-1, 305, Reno, Nevada (Snow College)*
Added to the class last week, the powerful defensive tackle has the capability to step into the depth chart early as the Cowboys work to fill vacant defensive line spots.
Cole Birmingham, OL, 6-5, 296, Katy, Texas
One of four talented offensive linemen in the class, Birmingham could play guard or tackle for the Cowboys. And he could help the Pokes’ cause in recruiting Katy running back Deondrick Glass, who is committing in January.
Grayson Boomer, TE, 6-5, 230, Collinsville
Rated as a four-star recruit by 247Sports.com, Boomer is the No. 8 tight end in the nation. He spent most of the last couple years blocking in Collinsville’s run-heavy offense, but has shown the athletic gifts to be a receiving threat.
Brendan Costello, QB, 6-0, 183, San Clemente, Calif.*
Georgia came after Costello midseason, but he stuck with the Cowboys and will be on campus in January. A versatile quarterback with accuracy, arm strength and the athletic ability to run well.
Na’Drian Dizadare, LB, 6-2, 200, Shreveport, La. (Evangel Chr.)*
High school teammate of OSU safety Jarrick Bernard, Dizadare was the first linebacker commit for defensive coordinator Jim Knowles. Long and athletic, Dizadare is the type of versatile linebacker Knowles covets.
Kamryn Farrar, LB, 6-0, 200, Dallas (Skyline)
Farrar is a smaller linebacker than Dizadare, but he’s dangerous because of his speed, particularly at the point of attack. He closes quickly and fits the mold of Knowles’ defensive philosophy.
Trace Ford, DE, 6-2, 225, Edmond Santa Fe
Versatile and athletic, Ford can play outside linebacker or defensive end for the Cowboys. He was an All-State selection by The Oklahoman and is rated No. 3 on the Super 30 recruit rankings.
Thomas Harper, CB, 5-11, 165, Knoxville, Tenn. (Karns)*
The younger brother of sophomore linebacker Devin Harper, Thomas is smaller, but naturally gifted, and had an impressive season on both sides of the ball as a senior.
Tom Hutton, P, 6-0, 195, Latrobe, Australia*
A 28-year-old who works at a paper mill full-time, he earned his opportunity with the Cowboys through his work with ProKick Australia. Hutton will have an early opportunity to contribute as OSU looks for its next punter.
Isreal Isuman-Hundley, DE, 6-5, 225, Argyle, Texas (Liberty Chr.)
Another piece of OSU’s strong haul in north-central Texas, Isuman-Hundley is long and athletic with a frame that can carry more weight and help boost OSU’s depleted depth on the defensive front.
Dezmon Jackson, RB, 5-11, 210, El Dorado, Arkansas (Hutchinson CC)*
With the late-season announcements that Justice Hill and J.D. King were not returning, the Cowboys amped up running back recruiting and added Jackson, who brings a good combo of power and speed.
Jayden Jernigan, DT, 6-2, 280, Allen, Texas*
Coming from the powerhouse program known for its opulent stadium, Jernigan has the body to make an early impact, though he should have some time to develop in the middle of the defensive line.
DJ Jones, CB, 6-1, 175, Tulsa Washington
Overshadowed in Booker T. Washington’s secondary by nationally ranked star Dax Hill, Jones has a good frame for a cornerback. He’s recovering from shoulder surgery after an injury ended his senior season.
Joe Michalski, OL, 6-4, 270, Overland Park, Kansas (St. Thomas Aquinas)
Another piece of the solid class secured by offensive line coach Josh Henson, Michalski is a powerful blocker who played tackle in high school.
Taylor Miterko, OL, 6-6, 270, Carlsbad, New Mexico
The top-rated recruit in New Mexico, Miterko is perhaps the most intriguing prospect in the Cowboys’ deep group of offensive linemen in the class.
Xavier Player, CB, 5-11, 166, Cibolo, Texas (Steele)
Continuing the pipeline from Cibolo Steele, Player is part of a deep cornerback class that will get the opportunity to be patient in its development, with both starting cornerbacks returning for 2019.
Xavier Ross, DT, 6-5, 290, Cedar Hill, Texas
Tall for a defensive tackle, but Ross knows how to use his body to his advantage, and not let offensive linemen use his height against him.
Kody Walterscheid, DE, 6-6, 230, Muenster, Texas
Younger brother of outgoing senior Cole Walterscheid, Kody is bigger and more athletic than Cole was when he arrived in Stillwater. Kody will be asked to help fill the void by the graduation of Cole and several other defensive ends.
Preston Wilson, OL, 6-4, 270, Argyle, Texas
A versatile and powerful lineman, Wilson has a lot of promise as someone who could play multiple positions on the offensive line.
