Enable fills COO post

Enable Midstream Partners has moved its chief commercial officer into its new COO position.

Enable Midstream Partners announced it has completed its process to create a new chief operating officer’s post, filling it with its chief commercial officer, Craig Harris. The announceme­nt last week caps a process that Rod Sailor, Enable’s president and CEO, told analysts about in 2018 when the firm discussed quarterly results. Sailor announced that Paul Brewer, Enable’s then-executive vice president of operations, planned to retire from his post early this year. He also indicated his intent was to create a chief operating officer position and to put Harris into the new post once it was created. Sailor said the post’s creation and his decision to fill it with Harris permits Enable to consolidat­e its commercial operations, engineerin­g and constructi­on functions under one key executive. “With this move, Enable continues to be well-positioned to provide creative, safe and cost-effective solutions for its customers,” Sailor said at the time. Harris has worked for Enable as its chief commercial officer since 2016. When he arrived, he brought decades of leadership experience in engineerin­g, operations and mergers and acquisitio­ns with him.
