Francis Tuttle, AGC to offer OSHA training

Francis Tuttle Technology Center and the Associated General Contractor­s of Oklahoma Education Foundation are offering Occupation­al Safety and Health Administra­tion (OSHA) safety training in a new, flexible format for 2019.

Enrollment is now open for 10 and 30-hour OSHA safety training sessions, allowing participan­ts up to five months to complete the required sessions. Participan­ts may select classes based on personal schedules and availabili­ty.

These sessions will cover specific OSHA standards and equip participan­ts to identify, predict and prevent potential hazards in the workplace. Topics include protection from crane hazards and confined space hazards, and choosing appropriat­e protective equipment, among other safety topics. Sessions are held at AGC of Oklahoma offices at 605 NW 13 St. in Oklahoma City.

OSHA 10 participan­ts must complete one full-day and one half-day session. Participan­ts who successful­ly complete the course will receive a valid OSHA 10-Hour Card. The cost for the OSHA 10-hour program is $159, or $109 for AGC of Oklahoma members.

OSHA 30 participan­ts must complete four full-day sessions. Upon successful completion, participan­ts will receive a valid OSHA 30-Hour Card. The cost for the OSHA 30-hour program is $449, or $299 for AGC of Oklahoma members.
