Heard on Hurd offers food, music

EDMOND — Festival attendees can expect to enjoy a wide variety of food trucks, pop-up shops and local music Saturday during Citizens Bank of Edmond's Heard on Hurd event.

The street festival will be from 6 to 10 p.m. at the corner of Broadway and Hurd in downtown Edmond.

New this month will be the Oklahoma ER & Hospital's Teddy Bear Clinic. The family friendly booth will be hosted by hospital staff and welcome kids of all ages to receive a free teddy bear and take it through a quick examinatio­n with doctors and nurses. The group's mission is to educate children on how to take care of themselves.

Evening music will i nclude Spunk Adams at 6 p.m.; Chelsey Cope at 7:20 p.m.; and Weston Horn & The Hush At 8:40 p.m.

The featured nonprofit for June will be Wings OK, whose mission is “to enhance the lives of adults with developmen­tal disabiliti­es through social, vocational and residentia­l programs guided by principles of the Bible,” a news release stated.

Street entertainm­ent performanc­es will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the intersecti­on of Main and Broadway. This month's event will feature l ocal artist Alyssa Elaine, al ong with t he r ecent Edmond North Battle of the Band winners, The 405.
