Heard on Hurd offers food, music
EDMOND — Festival attendees can expect to enjoy a wide variety of food trucks, pop-up shops and local music Saturday during Citizens Bank of Edmond's Heard on Hurd event.
The street festival will be from 6 to 10 p.m. at the corner of Broadway and Hurd in downtown Edmond.
New this month will be the Oklahoma ER & Hospital's Teddy Bear Clinic. The family friendly booth will be hosted by hospital staff and welcome kids of all ages to receive a free teddy bear and take it through a quick examination with doctors and nurses. The group's mission is to educate children on how to take care of themselves.
Evening music will i nclude Spunk Adams at 6 p.m.; Chelsey Cope at 7:20 p.m.; and Weston Horn & The Hush At 8:40 p.m.
The featured nonprofit for June will be Wings OK, whose mission is “to enhance the lives of adults with developmental disabilities through social, vocational and residential programs guided by principles of the Bible,” a news release stated.
Street entertainment performances will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Main and Broadway. This month's event will feature l ocal artist Alyssa Elaine, al ong with t he r ecent Edmond North Battle of the Band winners, The 405.
