Governor plans tour of cabinet meetings

Gov. Kevin Stitt is taking his cabinet meetings on the road.

The governor's office announced Wednesday that Stitt will kick off his cabinet tour next week with a public meeting in Woodward.

Stitt and the 15 members of his cabinet will meet in Woodward to talk about what's being done under the current gubernator­ial administra­tion and take questions from the public. Oklahomans also will have a chance to speak one-onone with Stitt or members of his cabinet.

“My administra­tion is committed to working with the people of Oklahoma to deliver a Top Ten state, which is why we are taking our cabinet meeting on the road to share about our progress and to listen to citizens,” Stitt said in a statement.

Stitt plans to have three more cabinet meetings at other locations throughout the state prior to the end of the year.

The meeting will go from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31 at the High Plains Technology Center in Woodward. Doors will open at 11 a.m.

Following the meeting, Stitt and members of his cabinet will visit a local correction­s center, the Woodward Arts Center and other prominent spots near Woodward.

Stitt's cabinet is made up of: Lt. Gov. Matt Pinnell, Secretary of Tourism and Branding; Secretary of Human Services and Early Childhood Initiative­s Steve Buck; Secretary of Native American Affairs Lisa Billy; Secretary of Transporta­tion Tim Gatz; Secretary of Agency Accountabi­lity John Budd; Secretary of Digital Transforma­tion and Administra­tion David Ostrowe.

Also, Secretary of Commerce Sean Kouplen; Secretary of Energy and Environmen­t Ken Wagner; Secretary of Agricultur­e Blayne Arthur; Secretary of Budget Mike Mazzei; Secretary of State and Education Michael Rogers; Secretary of Public Safety Chip Keating; Secretary of Health and Mental Health Jerome Loughridge; Secretary of Science and Innovation Kayse Shrum; and Secretary of Military and Veterans Affairs Ben Robinson.
