Gulfport hires CFO

- Staff report

Gulfport Energy Corp. announced Monday that Quentin R. Hicks will join the company later this month as its chief financial officer and executive vice president.

Hicks, officials said, was selected by Gulfport's board after it used an executive search firm to help it fill the position. He starts in his new role Aug. 26. Hicks is joining Gulfport from Halcón Resources Corp. where he most recently was executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer.

Hicks succeeds Keri L. Crowell, who is stepping down after a 14-year career with Gulfport.

“Gulfport is grateful to Keri for her long service and efforts at our company and we wish her the best going forward,” Gulfport CEO David M. Wood said.
