CLASS 2A DISTRICT PREVIEWS
The Oklahoman breaks down Class 2A Districts 1-4 as football season nears
TOP STORYLINES Will District 2A-3 provide the championship for a second straight year?
Beggs and Sperry provided the entertainment in last season's championship game, but could that happen for a second straight season? Beggs returns a talented, but young roster. S perry returns key players Walker N iver and Joe Whiteley on defense. And don't forget Tulsa's Victory Christian, a dangerous team as well.
A deep field of contenders
The first four districts of Class 2A have depth. Any of Chisholm, Oklahoma Christian School and Perry could win District 1. District 3 features the trio of B eggs, S perry and Victory Christian. District 4 has Adair and Metro Christian. Only Jones has arguably the best path to a district championship, but even that won't be easy with upstart Meeker.
Returning stars
*Jacob Che sley, Sr ., Oklahoma Christian School: The 6- foot -4, 285- pound offensive lineman is a force in the class up front. As a four-year starter, Chelsey is a huge reason star running back Jaxon Canard has been able to put up big numbers.

KEY GAMES Beggs at Sperry, Week 10
Last season, the communities became forever linked with the tragic death of Beggs running back Kay son To liver just one day before the two teams met f or the district championship. Beggs won that matchup. Sperry won the rematch in the championship. The weight of this game will be forever huge, no matter the stakes.
Metro Christian at Adair, Week 4
It' s the opener for District 2A- 4, and it's a doozy. Link and receiver Carson Callaway provide a great 1 - 2 punch offensively. Ad air has talented receiver Barrett Brad bury and tight end Brock Bor in back. It should be a night of offense that likely decides the district.
