Chantae Embry, a junior standout who spent the last two seasons at Prague, will attend Norman High this season

One of the state's top basketball prospects will play with a new jersey on this winter.

Chan taeE mb ry, a junior who has spent the last two seasons at Prague, will attend Norman High this season. She missed the entire 2018-19 season because of a torn anterior cruciate ligament in her right knee.

E mb ry moved to Norman because her mother received a position at Norman' s Roosevelt Elementary School.

E mb ry burst onto the scene her freshman season, averaging 22.3 points and 8.9 rebounds while leading Prague to the state tournament. She was at one point committed to Oklahoma State.

This weekend, she received offers from LS U and Kansas. She also holds offers from Arkansas, Tulsa, Oral Roberts, Texas A& M, among others. ESP N ranks Embry the No. 29 recruit in the 2021 class.

Embry will help fill the void of the exiting Kendra Gill is pie, a junior who was a stand out on the Class 6A state championship winning team last spring. Gillispie, an Ole Miss commit who ESPN ranks No. 31 in the 2021 class, will attend Harding Charter Prep this season, Norman coach Michael Neal said.

"When you add a player like Chantae, it's an immediate upgrade al l around," Neal said. "Kendra is with her mom at another school, unfortunately for us. Chantae comes in and fills a void that we need with Kendra leaving."

Luther rallies to top Meeker

Although it was an uncomfortable situation, Luther found itself in something it was accustomed to.

Trailing 28-12 early in the second quarter to Meeker, the Lions didn't panic. After a 1-9 football season in 2018, Luther has goals to get back into the playoffs this season with coach Shawn Meek back on the sideline.

With t hose expectations, Luther overcame its early deficit, rallying to topple Meeker 39-36 on Friday. Senior quarterback Peyton Wilson scored the game's final touchdown on a 10-yard rush, and he also finished with three passing touchdowns and 250 total yards.

"We were proud of their resiliency," Meek said. "The kids just kept on battling. We kept telling them to stay the course, and they did."
