About the broadcasters
The ESPN crew of Chris Fowler (play-by-play), Kirk Herbstreit (analyst) and Maria Taylor (sideline) has the call. Fowler was the longtime host of ESPN's College Gameday before he moved fulltime to the booth for “Saturday Night Football” in 2014. He's one of the network's most respected hosts, with a portfolio that ranges from SportsCenter, tennis majors, the Final Four, X-Games and Heisman Trophy ceremonies. Herbstreit is a former Ohio State quarterback who has become one of the top analysts in college football. He's been the primary analyst for “Saturday Night Football” since its inception. A former basketball and volleyball player at Georgia, Taylor became the sideline reporter for “Saturday Night Football” in 2017 She also hosts “College Football Live,” Big Monday and NCAA Women's Final Four studio coverage and serves as the co-host on “Get Up” among other duties.
