Olsen looks comfortable in return to Wolves
NORMAN — On a rainy Friday night, Jorgen Olsen was all over the field for the Edmond Santa Fe offense against Norman North.

After playing for Santa Fe his freshman and sophomore years, Olsen didn't play his junior year with the Wolves after moving with his family to Utah to help his grandfather, he said.
Olsen's transition back into the program for his senior season was seamless, Santa Fe coach Kyle White said. His teammates understood why he had left and accepted him back with open arms.
“When he came back they were excited to see him and he jumped right in and didn't miss a beat,” White said.
As a senior, Olsen has b e e n a l e a d e r f o r t h e Wolves. White said he leads by example, s howing up and doing the right things every day.
Olsen s a i d i t ' s i mportant to him to do the right things and put i n a l ot of effort. He's not a very vocal leader, White said, but he leads through his play.
“Nobody ever questions how committed he is to us or to Santa Fe,” White said. “And so when he steps out t here he's easy t o f oll ow because kids know where he stands.”
I n hi s f i r s t t wo g a mes l e a d i n g t h e S a n t a F e offense this season, Olsen has thrown for 314 yards, t wo t ouchdowns a nd a n interception while adding 175 yards and three more touchdowns on the ground.
O l s e n w a s h a p p y h i s f amily was able t o move back to Oklahoma for his senior season. He's excited to be back with his friends at Santa Fe.
“It means a l ot to me,” Olsen said. “I l ove all my teammates, so it's cool to be back playing with them.”
White is also glad to have Olsen back on hi s t e a m. White said Olsen plays at a high level and has done a solid job for the Wolves this season.
“I think we're extremely f ortunate t hat t hey were able to move back,” White said.
