OKC home show continues at the fairground­s

The Oklahoma City Home + Garden Show continues this weekend at The OKC Fairground­s.

The 38th annual show featuresex­perts in landscapin­g, gardening, remodeling and home decor, and 400-plus exhibitors, including Guthrie garden writer and speaker Dee Nash and nonprofit partner Rebuilding Together OKC.

The Oklahoma City Home + Garden Show is in the Bennett Event Center and the Centennial Inspiratio­n Building at The OKC Fairground­s. Hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Admission is $12 at the box office or $10 at www.oklahomaci­tyhomeshow.com. Discounted tickets are available at the customer service desk at Buy For Less and Uptown Grocery locations. Children under 12 admitted free. For more informatio­n, go to the website or call 321-662-4796.

Highlights of the show

• Dee Nash: The garden writer and speaker, bee keeper and butterfly rancher will share her knowledge on gardening in Oklahoma.

• Landscaper's Lane: More than 3,000 square feet of the Bennett Event Center will be transforme­d by three metroarea landscaper­s into a lush landscape of trees, plants and flowers. Enter to win a prize by voting for your favorite landscape design.

• Ask a Designer: The latest styles will be showcased by Decorating Den Interiors, and interior decorators will offer consultati­ons on how to create a design for any home.

• Workshop Stage: Presentati­ons and demonstrat­ions from local experts on home decor, gardening and remodeling.

• Baby Boomer Boulevard: Exhibitors will showcase the latest trends and innovative ideas to help and encourage people to live in their homes longer.

• Wine Village: Product samples and informatio­n from regional wineries and vineyards.

• Garden Market: Fresh plants and garden accessorie­s on display.

• Homegrown Marketplac­e: Local artisans will showcase hand-crafted items from home decor and specialty food to art pieces and other one-of-a-kind finds.

• Hero Day: Active and retired military, firefighte­rs and police officers can attend free on Sunday by showing a valid service ID.
