Favre thinks Rodgers will leave Packers

Appearing Wednesday on the Rich Eisen Show, Favre was asked what he thought was in store for Rodgers after the team's decision to select quarterback Jordan Love i n t he f i r s t r ound of l ast week's NFL draft.
“I t h i n k h e ' l l p l a y somewhere else,” said Favre, who moved on from Green Bay after a storied career and spent his f i nal t hree seasons with the New York Jets and Minnesota Vikings. “That's my gut.”
Favre told Eisen that he had spoken to Rodgers since the draft.
“I g u a r a n t e e y o u ( the Love pick) got the wheels turning in Aaron's mind,” Favre said. “That means there's a chip on his shoulder toward the organization that othe r wise was not t her e . A l l ( R o d g e r s ) n e e d e d was a r e a s o n ( t o p l a y elsewhere).”
BILLS: Buffalo signed defensive end Bryan Cox Jr., whose father never hid his dislike for the Bills during his days playing for the AFC rival Miami Dolphins in the 1990s. Cox Jr. was signed to a oneyear contract Wednesday after splitting last season between Carolina and Cleveland. He has three seasons of NFL experience since being signed by the
Panthers as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2017.
COWBOYS: Veteran cornerback Daryl Worley agreed to terms with Dallas on a free agent deal after the team selected two cornerbacks in last week's NFL Draft. Worley spent the past two seasons with the Oakland Raiders after playing his first two seasons with Carolina. The 25-year-old Worley, who has five interceptions and 243 tackles in 56 NFL games, was a third-round pick by the Panthers out of West Virginia in the 2016 draft.
JAGUARS: Former Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Telvin Smith has been arrested on a charge of unlawful sexual activity with certain minors. Citing an anonymous law enforcement source, ESPN reported that Smith is accused of having sex with a 17-year-old girl multiple times, both at his home and in his vehicle, last August and September. A fifth-round draft pick from Florida State in 2014 and a Pro Bowl selection in 2017, Smith announced last April that he was stepping away from football to “get my world in order.”
ETC.: Commissioner Roger Goodell has reduced his salary to $0 and other NFL employees will be taking pay cuts or furloughs due to the coronavirus pandemic. The league also is implementing tiered reductions in base salary, beginning with the pay period ending May 22. In a memo sent to league office staffers, Goodell also said no employee earning a base salary of less than $100,000 will be affected by these reductions, and
no employee's salary will be reduced below $100,000 by the reductions.
