TAKE A WALK:
The Paseo Arts District is welcoming the community back for the July First Friday Gallery Walk from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday in the historic neighborhood, located between NW 27 and NW 30 and Walker and Hudson. Several galleries will stay open late and host artist receptions, including the new Paseo Arts and Creativity Center, and local duo Casey & Minna will play from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the red “Flamenco” sculpture. `SIP'-LE PLEASURE:
The Oklahoma City Zoo, 2101 NE 50, hosts Sip & Stroll at 6 p.m. Thursdays through Aug. 13. The limited-attendance, outdoor event features zoo-inspired adult beverages stationed throughout the park, and food will be available for purchase. Admission is $17 per person, and tickets are available at www. okczoo.org/sipandstroll.
WHAT ABOUT IT:
The Midtown Walkabout takes place starting at 11 a.m. Saturdays in July in Midtown OKC, between NW 7 and NW 13 and Broadway and Classen. TAKE THE PLUNGE:
Poetic City presents A Night in the Paseo, a 7:30 p.m. Friday poetry and music event at the Paseo Plunge, 3010 Paseo. Coinciding with Paseo's First Friday art walk, the evening includes music and live poetry from Doyle Rowland and Brandon Current. The event is free and all-ages. AS YOU WISH:
Myriad Botanical Gardens' free Sonic Summer Movie Nights series has moved this summer to Scissortail Park, 300 SW 7, to allow for better social distancing. Movie lovers are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and blankets and partake of offerings from a variety of local food trucks and vendors. Pre-movie activities begin at 8 p.m., and the movie begins at sundown. The next movie on the series is the 1987 favorite “The Princess Bride.” For details, go to www.scissortailpark.org.
