Rebuilding Together OKC has new executive
Rebuilding Together OKC has hired Lauren Sullivan as executive director to lead the nonprofit organization's work to revitalize metro- area neighborhoods by repairing and renovating homes for homeowners who are unable to make repairs themselves.
B e f o r e j o i n i n g R e b u i l d i n g Together OKC, Sul l i van was executive director of the Oklahoma AIDS Care Fund, helping p r o v i d e s u p p o r t , e d u c a t i o n , advocacy and resources to end the HIV/AIDS epidemic in central and western Oklahoma. She also served as the Oklahoma chapter administrator for YPO Gold, a global leadership organization of chief executives.
“Helping people live safely and i ndependently i n their homes is important to the health of a community,” Sullivan said. “I look forward to diving in with R e b u i l d i n g T o g e t h e r OKC' s dedicated staff and volunteers to impact the people and neighborhoods that make Oklahoma special.”
S u l l i v a n a n d h e r h u s b a n d , Andy, are longtime residents of Oklahoma City. They are both graduates of Casady School and attend All Souls' church. They have f our c hi l dr e n. One wil l attend the University of Oklahoma, and the other three attend Heritage Hall.
R e b u i l d i n g T o g e t h e r OKC brings volunteers and communities together to improve the homes and lives of low-income homeowners i n the Oklahoma City metro area. Since 1992, about 50,000 volunteers have helped Rebuilding Together OKC update and refurbish more than 2,000 homes, 30 nonprofit facilities and eight public school buildings, a value of more than $ 20 million.
