HOW THEY RATE

- Cameron Jourdan, staff writer

The Oklahoman releases the Class 6A-I and 6A-II football rankings as well as its preseason All-State team

1. Owasso (13-0): The defending state champions remain stout on defense with linebacker Emaud Triplett leading the way. The Rams remain solid up front with Dillon GIlbert anchoring the offensive line and look to find their next quarterback.

2. Jenks (8-5): Quarterback Stephen Kittleman returns after a great junior season. But Jenks' strength will be its defense, where eight starters return, including Waylon Adams, Jayden Patrick and Tyson Ward.

3. Tulsa Union (6-5): After an injury-riddled 2019 campaign, Tulsa Union has an experienced backfield returning with junior quarterback Rovaughn Banks and senior running back AJ Green looking to lead the way. 4. Edmond Santa Fe (8-3): The Wolves look to junior Scott Pfieffer at quarterback. He has an electric target in junior wideout Talyn Shettron to throw to, but the Wolves defense will be stout with linebackers Collin Oliver and James Burnett leading the way.

5. Broken Arrow (9-3): Senior Jake Raines returns at quarterback while junior running back Maurion Horn looks to stake his claim as one of the state's top running backs. Linebacker Darryan Moss will lead the defense. 6. Mustang (7-4): The Broncos surprised a lot of teams last season but have the look of a stout squad under second-year coach Lee Blankenship. Look for sophomore wide receiver and defensive back Jacobe Johnson to have a breakout year.

7. Westmoore (6-4): With senior quarterback Dayton Wolfe

returning, Westmoore's offense will remain potent and a veteran linebacking corps will look to guide the Jaguars back to the playoffs.

8. Norman North (3-7): The Timberwolves will have their best team under third-year coach Justin Jones, who will lean on running back Gabe Trevillison to lead the offense.

9. Norman (7-4): Coach Rocky Martin will have to replace a quarterback but brings back talented senior wide receiver Jaden Bray, who is bound to have a breakout senior.

10. Yukon (4-6): Coach Jeremy Reed has high expectations for a young group with plenty of experience returning. The Millers averaged 405 rushing yards per game last season.

11. Moore (6-6): Moore has an uphill battle to replace standout Daniel Hishaw Jr. and a senior class of nearly 40, but young talent is there and ready to step into the spotlight. 12. Edmond North (1-9): Edmond North's defense will be its

strength, mainly at linebacker and in the secondary. Coach Tanner Roof will have to find a new starting quarterback. 13. Edmond Memorial (1-9):

Coach Luke Orvis said his senior class is eager to lead the team. Senior Carson Riney returns at quarterback along with senior defensive lineman Devon Polley. 14. Southmoore (1-9):

Southmoore turns to former OU standout Josh Norman as head coach looking to win more than three games for the first time since 2016.

15. Putnam City (1-9): Former Shawnee star and OU wideout Carter Whitson takes over looking to rebuild Putnam City while implementing his spread offense. 16. Enid (0-10): Second-year coach Rashaun Woods looks to find consistency with the Plainsmen, which have won more than three games only once since 2011.
