THE OKLAHOMA N' S 2020 CLASS 6 A-II P RE SEASON RANKINGS

1. Bixby (13-0): Winners of five of the past six Class 6A-II titles, Bixby is again the favorite until some team proves it can knock the Spartans off. Senior quarterbac­k Mason Williams returns looking to break records.

2. Stillwater (12-1): Senior Caleb Allen steps in at quarterbac­k, but Stillwater is still a contender to knock the Spartans off because a stout front seven on defense and it has the state's best running back in senior Qwontrel Walker.

3. Del City (9-3): The Eagles have to replace a quarterbac­k but will have one of the best defenses in the state with senior linebacker­s Donovan Stephens and Rejhan Tatum leading the way.

4. Muskogee (8-3): Muskogee has multiple playmakers on both sides of the ball, but none are more important than Oklahoma State commit Ty Williams, who will play quarterbac­k and defensive back. 5. Tulsa Washington (6-5):

Brown takes over at head coach and has plenty of talented players who are in for big seasons, like star junior Gentry Williams and defensive back Keuan Parker.

6. Choctaw (8-4): Coming off its best season in 40 years, Choctaw will have to replace a quarterbac­k but is confident in sophomore Steele Wasel, who could have a breakout season.

7. Midwest City (4-7): Midwest City is talented on defense, with Oklahoma State defensive back commit Makale Smith as the main star, but developmen­t of sophomore quarterbac­k DeAngelo Irvin Jr. is pivotal to how good the Bombers can be.

8. Putnam North (6-4): The Panthers make the drop to Class 6A-II this season and will lean on a defense with eight returning starters to lead the way.

9. Lawton (5-5): Coach Ryan Breeze looks to lead his speedy Lawton team back to the playoffs after missing out last season for the first time since 2012.

10. Sand Springs (2-8): New coach Bobby Klinck takes over the helm looking for his eight returning offensive starters to have an immediate impact on getting Sand Springs back in contention.

11. Deer Creek (5-5): Junior offensive lineman Jacob Sexton has become one of the nation's top recruits and he looks to lead Deer Creek to the playoffs for the first

time in Class 6A-II.

12. Ponca City (5-5): Coach Scott Harmon is looking to build upon his team's five-win campaign last season, which was Ponca City's most wins since 2005.

13. Bartlesvil­le (3-7): Bartlesvil­le returns eight starters on offense and looks to make the playoffs for the first time since 2015.

14. Putnam West (0-10): Secondyear coach Craig Maynard is looking for more offensive production, as the Patriots have won only two games the past three seasons. 15. U.S. Grant (7-3): After six years as an independen­t, U.S. Grant returns to district play looking for its first district win since 2003. 16. Northwest Classen (2-8):
