Thunder's Ferguson sued over rape claim

An Oklahoma City woman is suing Thunder guard Terrance Ferguson, alleging that he and his brother raped her in September 2018.

The lawsuit was filed last month in Oklahoma County District Court. The woman is seeking in excess of $500,000 in losses, “as a direct consequence of their tortious conduct.”

In April, Oklahoma County prosecutors decided not to charge Ferguson after he was accused of what is apparently the same rape.

“Evidence to support the reporting person's allegations that the sexual conduct was not consensual was absent,” District Attorney David Prater said at the time.

According to the lawsuit, the woman alleged that in 2018 she and Ferguson were in a

consensual relationship. During the relationship, Ferguson allegedly pressured the woman to participate in a threesome with him and his brother, Brandon Willis, who lives in Dallas.

The woman “unequivocally rejected each and every one of Ferguson's requests,” according to the lawsuit.

In September 2018, the woman alleged that Ferguson invited her to his home and again asked her to have sex with him and his brother at the same time. She once again declined, according to the lawsuit.

On the same day, while Ferguson and the woman were engaged in consensual sex, Willis allegedly entered Ferguson' s bedroom. According to the lawsuit, the woman was frightened and withdrew consent from future sexual contact with Ferguson.

Ferguson allegedly ignored her, and told her to “shut up and get on (her) knees,” according to the lawsuit.

The woman alleged that Ferguson forced her to perform oral sex on him while Willis forcibly penetrated her vagina. Willis is also being sued, and it is unclear if he or Ferguson has an attorney in the civil case.

Billy Bock, ac ri minal defense attorney who previously represented Ferguson, did not respond to a call seeking comment.

“Terrance Ferguson is a very respectful young man who has recently had to defend himself regarding some false allegations ,” Bocks aid in April .“He cooperated fully with the investigation and appreciates t he professionalism of the investigators with the Oklahoma City Police Department and Mr. Prater's office, which has declined to file charges.”

According to the lawsuit, Ferguson allegedly filmed the assault without the woman's permission and shared the video with third parties on Snapchat.

The woman brought the civil claims for the “physical, emotional and psychological” injuries she has suffered, according to the lawsuit.

Ferguson ,22, has played three seasons for the Thunder since being selected 21st overall in the 2017 NBA Draft.

“As we previously communicated, we were aware of the matter, have followed all protocols, and continue to respect the legal process,” a Thunder spokesman said.
