Students may apply for OKC specialty schools

Students wanting to apply to attend an Oklahoma City Public Schools applicatio­n school have until March 5 to submit required admission informatio­n.

Schools having selective admission requiremen­ts include Belle Isle Enterprise Middle School, Class en S AS Middle School, Class en S AS High School at Northeast, Southeast Middle School and Southeast High School.

Students interested in attending one or more of these schools must complete an applicatio­n to be considered for admission. For the first time, the applicatio­n and admission process is 100% online. There is no tuition fee to attend one of the schools.

Current and prospectiv­e Oklahoma City Public Schools students interested in applying to one or more of the district' s applicatio­n schools are encouraged to submit their a pp lication or interest form and view more in formation at www. okcps. org/ applicatio­n schools orwww.ok cps. org/ es cue las de aplic ac ion. When applying, students may select up to three potential schools.

All Oklahoma City Public Schools students in fourth through 11 th grades are eligible to apply. Students who are not enrolled in the district are also invited to fill out the interest form, which will allow them to be contacted by the selected schools to complete the formal applicatio­n.

Students already attending an applicatio­n school do not need to reapply to promote to the next grade. Also, current eighth-graders enrolled at Classen SAS Middle School and Southeast Middle School do not need to apply to attend their respective high school.

Once applicatio­ns have been submitted, each school will process the applicatio­ns and notify families if more informatio­n is required and/or if the applicatio­n has been admitted or denied. notice of acceptance or letters of denial will be sent beginning March 12.
