DEL CITY - Lorene Jewel Jaques, of Del City entered heaven and into the presence of her Lord on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at the age of 97. She was born June 26, 1923 in Tribbey, Oklahoma to Wesley Johnson & Ollie Myrtel Jennings Johnson. Lorene attended Tribby Schools, but left at a young age to pick cotton for her family. She was a long-time member of Southwest Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. Lorene worked for Bunte Candies Inc. for 34 years and retired as a Candy Machinist. In her spare time she also enjoyed working with her husband at the Pro Wrestling Matches and Del City Ball Park. Lorene loved life, traveling, collecting porcelain dolls and beanie babies. She also had a special love for animals and her family that was unbreakabl­e. She was very caring, thoughtful, giving, loving, and kind. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will be forever in our hearts. Lorene is survived by her sisters; Jean Borrell of Moore, Barbara Price of Harrodsbur­ge, Kentucky; brother, Bill Johnson and wife Pat of Ontario, California; 4 granddaugh­ters, Beverly Jones and husband Gary of Del City, Donna Cook of Weatherfor­d, Cyndi Beane and husband Michel of Moore, Tamara Jaques of Del City; 12 great-grandchild­ren, Tiera Manowski and husband Joe of Moore, Trent Jones of Moore, Tristan Jones and Courtney of Choctaw, Torey Dorrell and wife Kristina of Midwest City, Tyler Dorrell of Midwest City, Tray Dorrell of Oklahoma City, Tret Dorrell and Hailee of Stillwater, Kyle Beane of Moore, Bryan McAuley of Oklahoma City, Rowdy McAuley of Oklahoma City, Harlie McAuley of Weatherfor­d, Patrick Grumann of Del City; 10 great great-grandchild­ren, Lexie, Kasey, Kinley, Brody, Hadley, Kayden, Kiley, Kloey, Charlee & Birdie; and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of 77 years, Ernest Jaques; Parents Wesley Johnson and Ollie Myrtel Jennings Johnson Cummins; sons, Ernest Jaques Jr. and Gary Jaques; sister, Beulah Mullins; Brother, Alfred (Buck) Johnson; and great-grandson Taylor Dorrell. Visitation will be held from 4pm-8pm, Wednesday, March 10th at Sunny Lane Funeral Home & Cemetery, located at 4000 SE 29th Street, Del City, Oklahoma. Funeral Services to celebrate Lorene’s life will be held at 3:00 PM, Thursday, March 11th at Sunny Lane Funeral Home & Cemetery Chapel, with Pastors Frank Wiley and Ryan Davis officiatin­g. She will be laid to rest at Sunny Lane Cemetery, in Del City, Oklahoma. Services in care of Sunny Lane Funeral Home & Cemetery.
