Shirley Jackson

GRAPEVINE, TX - Shirley Jackson, age 87 passed away Sunday, March 7, 2021 Memorial Service at 1:00pm Friday, March 12, 2021 at the Lucas Funeral Home 700 Wall St., Grapevine, Texas 76051. Shirley was born July 19, 1933 to James and Gladys Lawson. She attended Capitol Hill High School in Oklahoma City. In May of 1952, she married the love of her life, Jimmy G. Jackson. They resided in the Oklahoma City and Edmond, Oklahoma area for the majority of their life together. They moved to Grapevine, Texas in February of 2020. Shirley was the loving mother of seven children. Shirley spent the majority of her life as a loving mother and wife. She was a Blue Bird and Camp Fire Girls leader and was very active in the Heronville Elementary school PTA. She also helped build a very successful accident reconstruction business with Jimmy before retiring in 2018. Shirley is preceded in death by her late parents, her brother Buddy Lawson, and sisters Jennie Beaty and Peggy Faubion. Survivors: Husband Jimmy G Jackson, Brother Larry Lawson, Children John Jackson and spouse Cassandra, Sandy Hawk and spouse Tom, Linda Altenhoff and spouse Paul, William Jackson and spouse Melissa, Rebecca Jackson, Kathy Jackson, and Jennifer Cosgrove and spouse Don; 17 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and a large number of loving family, friends, and business associates.
