George Salamy

MUSTANG - George was born May 17, 1937 in Youngstown, Ohio to Said and Jamela Salamy. George was the eldest of three brothers Richard and Sam Salamy. His personality was larger than life – his humor and infectious smile made him the successful businessman he grew to be. He started his professional career selling shoes at Burt’s Shoe Store downtown Okla. City. He then established Sooner Printing where he was at the top of the printing business for many years, receiving several prestigious printing awards.

George will forever be remembered for his kindness and generosity. He seemed to always support the underdog and his heart for helping those in need was always a main priority, he shared that with many throughout the years. George is survived by his brother Richard and wife Phyllis of Oklahoma City, his 6 children, Ruthann Houpt and husband Buddy, Michelle Canning, Nathan Salamy and wife BethAnn, Matthew Salamy and Candice Moses, Carrie Shockley and husband Dale and Jami Elzey. 19 Precious grandchildren and numerous great grandkids. George passed this life into the arms of Jesus on April 10th, 2021 and joined his mother, father and brother Sam. His passing has left a void in our hearts but we look forward to the day we will see him once again with our Heavenly Father. The family will forever be grateful to his granddaughter Heather and her family for the unselfish care they gave our dad over the past 2 ½ years of his life.
