OU men advance to final
The No. 1 Oklahoma men’s gymnastics team advances out of the qualifying meet and into Saturday’s NCAA final in Minneapolis,
The No. 1 Oklahoma men’s gymnastics team finished second in the first session of the NCAA Qualifying meet on Friday to advance to Saturday’s NCAA Finals in Minneapolis.
OU will join Nebraska and Illinois in Saturday’s finals along with the three top finishers from Friday’s night qualifying session.
No. 4 Nebraska posted the top score in the first session on Friday at 408.623. OU finished with a score of 406.190. No. 8 Illinois was third at 400.721.
No. 5 Ohio State, No. 9 Navy and No. 12 William & Mary did not advance out of the qualifying round.
The Sooners won three events as a team and placed in the top five in four events on Friday.
