BIG ALL-CITY GIRLS BASKETBALL FIRST TEAM

Editor's note: This year's OKC Metro High School Sports Awards will feature only an overall All-City team for each sport in June's broadcast for the USA Today Sports Network. Those athletes will be the only ones honored on the show and eligible for the athlete gift boxes. However, The Oklahoman will still select Big and Little All-City teams to honor their efforts.

Delanie Crawford, Piedmont

5-11 | Guard | Senior

The Story: Crawford was Piedmont's most important player all season long. She proved it with her play on the court and her leadership off it. She averaged 14.8 points per game and 8.8 rebounds to lead Piedmont to the Class 5A state tournament. Crawford is signed to Tulsa.

Chantae Embry, Norman

6-1 | Forward | Senior

The Story: The Texas Tech signee was one of the most dominant forwards throughout the entire state. She averaged a doubledoub­le with 13.1 points and 10.1 rebounds to help lead Norman to an undefeated season and a Class 6A state championsh­ip.

Aaliyah Moore, Moore

6-3 | Forward | Senior

The Story: Moore has been considered the best player in the state for the past two seasons and it's clear why. As a McDonald's All-American, Moore averaged 25.1 points and 11.6 rebounds per game before having seasonendi­ng surgery in February. Moore is signed to Texas.

Laci Steele, Edmond North

5-10 | Forward | Sophomore

The Story: Edmond North put together one of its best seasons in a long time and Steele had much to do with it. She averaged 20.9 and 7.5 rebounds to lead Edmond North to the Class 6A state tournament. With her play, she was named the Central Oklahoma Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year.

Kelbie Washington, Norman

5-6 | Guard | Senior

The Story: Washington had a goal to be one of the best basketball players to come out of Norman and she's achieved it with her impressive career. She capped it by leading Norman to an undefeated 19-0 season and a Class 6A state championsh­ip. She averaged 14.0 points, 4.7 assists and 4.3 steals in her final campaign. Washington is signed to Oklahoma.

Coach of the Year: Michael Neal, Norman

The Story: With a team filled with Division-I athletes, Michael Neal guided Norman to an undefeated season to win its sixth state championsh­ip this year. In the past two seasons, Norman is 43-1 and is on a different trajectory than when Neal took over.
