Rookie Trevor Rogers didn’t allow a runner past second base while pitching a career-high seven innings in his 11th major league start, and Miami earned a split of its two-game series against Baltimore.

Pirates 3, TIGERS 2 (G1):

Tyler Anderson pitched five solid innings to lift the Pirates. Pittsburgh scored all runs in the fourth inning after Michael Fulmer retired the Pirates in order through the first three.

PHILLIES 6, Giants 5:

Andrew Knapp hit the winning single in the ninth inning to lift the Phillies, and Bryce Harper hit a tying solo homer in the seventh. Harper walked to open the ninth, and Brad Miller’s fourth hit of the game put two runners on.

ROCKIES 6, Astros 3:

Austin Gomber got his first victory for Colorado, allowing two hits over six innings to beat the Astros on a wintry afternoon and send Houston to its ninth loss in 10 games. It was 34 degrees at first pitch.

Diamondbac­ks 5, REDS 4 (G1):

Stefan Crichton pitched a scoreless ninth inning for his second save, helping the Diamondbac­ks beat the Reds in the finish of a suspended game.

NATIONALS 1, Cardinals 0:

Max Scherzer struck out nine in six innings to move up to No. 21 on the career Ks leaderboar­d, and Alex Avila drove in the game’s lone run with one of his two doubles.

Rangers 7, ANGELS 4:

Adolis García hit a go-ahead, three-run homer in the eighth inning, and the Rangers rallied from a late two-run deficit. Nate Lowe also homered immediatel­y after García’s drive for the Rangers. Brewers 4, PADRES 2: Omar Narvaez hit a two-run homer and Jace Peterson added a solo shot for the Brewers, who complete a three-game sweep. Milwaukee pitchers allowed only three runs in the series.

ATHLETICS 13, Twins 2 (10):

The Oakland Athletics extended their winning streak to 11, rallying from a two-run deficit to beat the Twins when Luis Arraez threw away Ramón Laureano’s grounder for Minnesota’s second error of the 10th inning. TIGERS 5, Pirates 2 (G2): Detroit rallied for a 5-2 win in the second game behind Jonathan Schoop’s go-ahead home run in a three-run fifth inning, leaving the Pirates at 8-10 following a 1-6 start.

Braves at YANKEES, late:

The New York Yankees broke their five-game losing streak with little offense, getting a run-scoring wild pitch and basesloade­d walk from Atlanta Braves reliever Nate Jones in the eighth inning that lifted them to a 3-1 victory Tuesday night.

Diamondbac­ks at REDS (G2), late Blue Jays at RED SOX, late:

Xander Bogaerts hit a three-run home run to back Eduardo Rodríguez in his first start at Fenway Park since 2019, and the Boston Red Sox beat the Toronto Blue Jays 4-2 on Tuesday night.

Mets at CUBS, late:

Jake Arrieta pitched five effective innings, Craig Kimbrel escaped a jam in the ninth and the Chicago Cubs beat the New York Mets 3-1 on Tuesday.

Rays at ROYALS, late:

Brandon Lowe, Austin Meadows and Mike Zunino homered and the Tampa Bay Rays pounded out 17 hits in a 14-7 rout of the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday night.
