MARLINS 9, Padres 3: Yu Darvish’s ERA rose for the fourth start in a row when he allowed four runs in five innings, and the San Diego Padres settled for a four-game series split against last-place Miami by losing 9-3 Sunday.

Cardinals 10, REDS 6: Harrison Bader and Dylan Carlson homered during a seven-run burst in the fourth inning and the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Cincinnati Reds 10-6 on Sunday.

CLEVELAND 3, Rays 2: Bobby Bradley’s sacrifice fly in the eighth inning capped Cleveland’s comeback in a 3-2 win over Tampa Bay on Sunday, ending an 11-game losing streak against the Rays.

METS 5, Blue Jays 4: Pete Alonso homered again, pinch-hitter Jeff McNeil broke a tie with a two-run double and the New York Mets beat the Toronto Blue Jays 5-4 on Sunday in a successful debut for new starter Rich Hill.

Angels 6, TWINS 2: Shohei Ohtani hit his major league-leading 35th home run and the Los Angeles Angels beat the Minnesota Twins 6-2 Sunday. Ohtani, who had two hits, lasered a line drive into the right-field seats for a solo homer in the sixth inning that broke a 2-all tie.

ROYALS 6, Tigers 1: Jorge Soler hit two home runs, Salvador Perez added a three-run blast and Daniel Lynch pitched eight scoreless innings for his first major league win to lead the Kansas City Royals to a 6-1 win over the Detroit Tigers on Sunday.

ASTROS 3, Rangers 1: Zack Greinke threw six solid innings, Abraham Toro homered and the Houston Astros sent Texas to its 12th straight loss, beating the Rangers 3-1 Sunday. The Rangers’ skid is tied for second-longest in team history and the first time they’ve dropped a dozen in a row since 1982

CUBS 5, D-backs 1: Kris Bryant, Anthony Rizzo and David Bote homered, Trevor Williams pitched effectivel­y into the seventh inning, and the Chicago Cubs beat the Arizona Diamondbac­ks 5-1 on Sunday.

GIANTS 6, Pirates 1: LaMonte Wade Jr. homered twice and the Giants avoided a three-game sweep, beating the Pirates 6-1 on Sunday. Wilmer Flores and Thairo Estrada also went deep for San Francisco.

DODGERS 3, Rockies 2: Will Smith hit a go-ahead home run in the eighth inning and the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Colorado Rockies 3-2 on Sunday. Chris Taylor added a pair of home runs.

MARINERS 4, Athletics 3: Kyle Seager hit a two-out, two-run single as part of Seattle’s four-run third inning, Marco Gonzales won his second straight decision, and the Mariners inched closer in the American League wildcard chase with a 4-3 win over the Oakland Athletics on Sunday.

White Sox at BREWERS, late: Rowdy Tellez hit his first two homers as a Brewer, Corbin Burnes pitched six strong innings and Milwaukee beat the White Sox 6-1 on Saturday night.
