OKLAHOMA CITY - William Leo Chiles, born December 17th, 1943 in Oklahoma City to Ralph and Laver ne Chiles passed away peacefully from complicati­ons of COVID-19. He leaves behind his loving wife of 47 years Sherry, son James Chiles, wife Paige, grandchild­ren Carson and Addison Chiles, daughter Casey Stiver, husband Darrel, grandchild­ren Garrett Ferrell and Devon Stiver, a beloved twin brother Lloyd Chiles, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Judy, best friend Charles Ford, and his dachshund Brandi. Retired from MPI (later known as Seagate), Leo was a genius machinist who machined parts for hard drives before computers became commonplac­e. He also created and machined numerous air motors, gadgets, and many other things throughout his life. He loved fast cars and had many Cushman and Allstate motorcycle­s. He and Sherry traveled to many out of state car shows for fun and regularly took the kids to the Chickasha swap meet for car parts. He was a generous man with a dry sense of humor and a quick wit. He put his family first and was always there for them. A special thanks to Dr. Steve Drabek and his staff for their care and compassion throughout the years. We all love and miss you sweetie, but God had a plan; see you on the other side. Graveside services will be held at 11 am, Thurs., Aug. 26, at the Yukon Cemetery, Yukon, OK.
