6 Number of Australian­s with a win on the PGA Tour Champions, now that Rod Pampling has joined that group. Pampling shot a finalround 66 Sunday to claim the Boeing Classic near Seattle, his first win in 28 starts on the senior circuit. He now has wins on the PGA Tour, Champions tour and Korn Ferry Tour.

1 Jerry Kelly finished tied for 11th but will maintain his lead in the Charles Schwab Cup points race for a seventh consecutiv­e week.

2 Jim Furyk posted his second 2nd-place finish of the season at the Boeing. And he is gaining on Kelly in the points race. Furyk leapfrogge­d Bernhard Langer into second place in the Schwab standings. Furyk leads the Champions tour with three wins.

19 The tour heads to Warwick Hills Golf & Country Club in Grand Blanc, Michigan, for the Ally Challenge, a 54-hole event that starts Friday. It was one year ago at this event that Furyk won his PGA Tour Champions debut, becoming the 19th golfer to win his Champions debut. (Phil Mickelson became the 20th to do so 24 days later.)

About one hour away, The Country Club of Detroit in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan, hosts the 66th U.S. Senior Amateur starting Saturday. The USGA reports that 2,565 golfers entered, a record for this event. The 2020 U.S. Senior Amateur was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2021 field is 156 and the format is 36 holes of stroke play followed by four days of match play, with the championsh­ip match on Sept. 2.
