CUBS 5, Rockies 2 (G1): Patrick Wisdom cracked a tiebreakin­g three-run homer in the fifth inning, and Chicago won the first game of a doublehead­er. David Bote and Austin Romine also homered for Chicago, which won its second straight at Wrigley Field.

CARDINALS 3, Tigers 2 (10): Paul Goldschmid­t homered twice and scored the game-ending run on Lars Nootbaar’s single in the 10th inning. Cardinals starter Jon Lester allowed one run on seven hits and two walks with four strikeouts in five innings.

ASTROS 6, Royals 5 (10): Alex Bregman had two hits and an RBI in his first action in more than two months, and he scored the winning run in the 10th inning on a groundout by Jake Meyers to lift Houston.

Rockies at CUBS (G2), late: Tuesday night’s game between the Colorado Rockies and Chicago Cubs was postponed because of thundersto­rms and reschedule­d as part of a doublehead­er Wednesday.

Angels at ORIOLES, late: The Baltimore Orioles staggered to their 19th consecutiv­e loss Tuesday night, allowing 19 hits and falling behind the Los Angeles Angels by 11 runs early in a 14-8 rout.

Diamondbac­ks at PIRATES, late: JT Brubaker pitched five scoreless innings for his first win in nearly three months, and the Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Arizona Diamondbac­ks 4-2 on Tuesday night.

Rays at PHILLIES, late: Nelson Cruz returned from the COVID-19 list, played first base for the first time in his career and hit a tiebreakin­g two-run double in the eighth inning for the Tampa Bay Rays, who beat the Philadelph­ia Phillies 3-1 on Tuesday night.

White Sox at BLUE JAYS, late: Dylan Cease pitched seven effective innings, José Abreu hit a three-run homer and the Chicago White Sox stopped a three-game slide by topping the Toronto Blue Jays 5-2 on Tuesday night.

Giants at METS, late: Brandon Belt hit two of San Francisco’s four home runs to push his career-best total to 19, rookie Sammy Long pitched into the sixth inning and the Giants trounced the slumping New York Mets 8-0 Tuesday night.

Rangers at CLEVELAND, late: Nathaniel Lowe was 5 for 5 with a three-run homer in the first inning, and the Texas Rangers beat Cleveland 7-3 Tuesday night after adding another player to the COVID-19 list.

Twins at RED SOX, late: Hunter Renfroe homered twice, the second during a five-run fifth inning that gave Boston a six-run advantage, and the Red Sox held onto the lead and their wild-card chances with a 11-9 victory over the last-place Minnesota Twins on Tuesday night.

Nationals at MARLINS, late: Tres Barrera had three hits, including a homer, and the Washington Nationals beat the reeling Miami Marlins 5-1 on Tuesday night. Yadiel Hernádez singled and tripled for the Nationals.

Reds at BREWERS, late: Omar Narváez hit a tiebreakin­g double in a four-run seventh inning, Kolten Wong added a two-run homer in the eighth and the Milwaukee Brewers rallied past the Cincinnati Reds 7-4 on Tuesday night.

Dodgers at PADRES, late: AJ Pollock hit a two-run single and robbed Manny Machado of a two-run homer to lead the Los Angeles Dodgers past the sinking San Diego Padres 5-2 on Tuesday night in a series opener.
