OKLAHOMA CIT Y - On August 30, 2021 Verna Louise (Christman) Anderson passed away. She was 94 Years old. Verna was born February 17, 1927 to Troy Harold and Oma Marie Christman. She grew up in the vicinity of Kirksville, Missouri. She married James Willard Anderson August 2, 1944 which was the summer before her senior year in high school. “Andy” promised Verna’s mother that she would finish high school. They settled permanentl­y in Midwest City in 1957 where they raised their three children. They were members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Verna was an Avon representa­tive for many years. She was also a precinct worker for the Oklahoma County Election Board, and Verna and Andy enjoyed square dancing for several years. She fulfilled Andy’s promise to her mother in 1965 when she graduated from Midwest City High School. Her greatest love was her family. She enjoyed their visits, their hugs, and spending time with them. She will be missed very much. She was preceded by her husband, Andy. Verna has missed his loving care since his passing, June 24, 2020. Verna is survived by her children: Andrea and husband, John Arstingsta­ll, of Perry, OK, Terry Anderson and wife, Tracy, of Perry, OK, and Jeff Anderson and wife, Paula, of Choctaw, OK. She is also survived by her seven grandchild­ren: Heath Arstingsta­ll, Craig Arstingsta­ll, Matt Anderson, Mindy Sanders, Jamie McDonald, Valerie Anderson, and Trey Anderson. Eleven great grandchild­ren include: Hannah, Seth, Zane, and Axel Arstingsta­ll, Brooklyn and Caitlyn McDonald, Eden and James Anderson, Jeffery and Aaron Teszlewitz, and Callie Anderson.
