SWOSU blood drive brings in record number

WEATHERFOR­D — Oklahoma Blood Institute recently announced that the August blood drive at Southweste­rn Oklahoma State University had the largest number of donors ever at a SWOSU August blood drive.

The drive had 111 people, including 14 first-time donors, registered to give blood. The effort resulted in 99 total donations, with each donation potentiall­y saving three lives. Each donor received a T-shirt and their choice of tickets to the Oklahoma Science Museum, Frontier City or Safari Joe’s.
