FOOTBALL AND NON-FOOTBALL ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

Congratulations to Bethany junior Taylor Heim and Carl Albert senior Christina LaValley for being winning The Oklahoman‘s Athletes of the Week poll for their respective sports. Heim was stellar in Bethany’s 27-14 season-opening win against Jones last Friday. He threw a 4- and 6-yard touchdown pass, ran for a 1-yard score and caught a 44-yard touchdown pass.

LaValley, a volleyball star, had six digs, four assists and three aces, playing a pivotal role defensively.
