TUTTLE - Roland Frank Harrison, 82, of Tuttle, OK, passed away Friday, September 3, 2021. He was born on February 16, 1939 in the small ranching town of Scullin, OK to Fred and Ruby Harrison. He spent his school age years in Oklahoma City where he graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1958. He met the love of his life, Patsy Karnes, while dragging against his best friend, Don Karnes, who happened to be Patsy’s older brother. They were married on June 11, 1960. They spent the next 61 years building a beautiful life together. Early in his career, Roland was a machinist for Evans electric from 1959 to 1964. In 1964, he and a partner, whom he bought out in 1981, opened Capitol Electric Motor Repair and Rewind. Roland and Patsy moved their growing family to Mustang in 1968. Throughout the years, family and friends enjoyed holidays and fun times at their house on Karen Terrace. Roland was the Booster Club President for several years and supported Mustang Bronco Athletics as he followed his children through their sporting events. He loved watching his children and grandchild­ren play sports and rarely missed the Tuttle Tigers, Clinton Red Tornadoes, and The University of Oklahoma football games. Ranching was a huge part of his life. He loved his cattle and his best dogs, Shep and Bud. Roland was baptized in 1966 at Hillcrest Church of Christ and strove to be a faithful Christian every day of his life. He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister Betty Fogle and his in-laws Orval and Susie Karnes. He is survived by his wife, Patsy; one son, Ronnie Harrison and wife Cheryl of Tuttle; two daughters, Lee Ann Harrison of Mustang, and Patti Lindsey and husband Kevin of Mustang. He was the loving PaPa to Ben Harrison and wife Brandy, Andrew Harrison, Chandler Davis and husband Sam, Reed Lindsey, and his two great-grandchild­ren, Callie Harrison and his namesake Hank Roland Harrison. He is also survived by his younger sister Janie Johnson of Newcastle, a brother-in-law/best friend Don Karnes and wife Karen of Belen, New Mexico, and innumerabl­e nephews, nieces, cousins, and dear friends. Services for Roland will be Friday, September 10th 2:00 at Lakehoma Church of Christ. In Lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to Mani Pagidipall­i India mission C/O Tuttle Church of Christ. Viewing will be held 2 pm-8 pm, Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Yanda & Son Funeral Home, Yukon, OK. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 10, at Lakehoma Church of Christ, Mustang, OK, with interment following at the Yukon Cemetery, Yukon, OK.
