ShemarriedWilliam Franklin Edmonson on January 1, 1947. Grandma Beth, as she was known by many, loved with her whole heart and demonstrated her love for Jesus through her daily interactions with others. She was faithful to her church as a volunteer and a prayer warrior. She was also faithful to friends and family with cards or other recognition in times of sadness as well as celebration. Beth is survived by her children, ChristopherWynn Edmonson and wife Marilyn of Glenpool, OK and Cynthia Lynn Timmons and husband Tim of Norman, OK; sisters-in-law, Oma June Pitzer of Foss, OK, Mildred Wood of Sayer, OK, and Leona Alexander of Watonga, OK; grandsons, Sean Kight and wife Susan of Norman, OK and Stephen Edmonson of OKC; granddaughters, Cindy Hunter and husband Jackie of Dickson, OK, Stephanie Dooley and husbandWil of Colleyville, TX, Christy McFarland and husband Luke of Edmond, OK, and Robin McIntyre and husband David of N. Richland Hills, TX. Beth graduated from Southwestern State College and later the University of Oklahoma where she received her master’s degree in counseling. Beth went on to be a teacher, a counselor and administrator. She also worked for the state in Vocational Rehabilitation and she also sponsored international students through Academic Year in America for over 10 years. She was a woman of service and a woman of faith. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, faithful friend and a grandmother to far more than her 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed, but we can hold tight to the knowledge that we will see her again.

She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also and he praises her. “Many women do noble things but you surpass them all.” Charmis deceptive and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate. Proverbs 31:25-31
