Brewers 11, CLEVELAND 1: Eric Lauer no-hit Cleveland into the sixth inning a day after Milwaukee threw a historymak­ing no-no, his teammates belted five homers in the Brewers’ victory.

Nationals 6, PIRATES 2: Patrick Corbin gave Washington’s overworked bullpen a bit of a break, working seven strong innings as the Nationals beat Pittsburgh to avoid a three-game sweep.

Blue Jays 22, ORIOLES 7: Lourdes Gurriel Jr. and Teoscar Hernández each hit a grand slam, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. slugged his 44th homer, and Toronto overpowere­d Baltimore, finishing two runs shy of the franchise record.

Rockies 5, PHILLIES 4: Garrett Hampson homered twice and knocked in all five runs as Colorado dealt another blow to Philadelph­ia’s playoff hopes. The Phillies fell 41⁄ games behind NL

BRAVES 5, Miami 3: Ozzie Albies and Freddie Freeman each hit a solo homer off Anthony Bass in the seventh, Eddie Rosario went deep off Edward Cabrera in the fourth, and Atlanta beat Miami.

ASTROS 3, Angels 1: Lance McCullers Jr. threw six strong innings, Kyle Tucker homered and Houston beat Los Angeles. McCullers permitted one run on three hits with seven strikeouts and won his third decision in a row.

Royals 5, TWINS 3: Kyle Isbel drove in the go-ahead run with a single in the eighth inning, and Kansas City beat Minnesota. Adalberto Mondesi homered for the Royals and Whit Merrifield had three hits.

WHITE SOX 2, Red Sox 1: Leury Garcia hit a game-ending home run with two outs in the ninth to lift Chicago over Boston. The White Sox took a 1-0 lead and a three-hit shutout into the ninth before Craig Kimbrel blew the save.

CARDINALS 2, Reds 0: Nolan Arenado homered for the second game in a row and five pitchers combined on a fivehit shutout to help St. Louis beat Cincinnati. St. Louis has won four of six. The Cardinals began the day two games behind Cincinnati and San Diego for the final NL wild-card spot.

Giants 6, CUBS 5: Wilmer Flores homered and drove in three runs, Kris Bryant scored two against his former team, and San Francisco hung on to beat the Chicago for its season-high seventh straight win.

Rangers 4, ATHLETICS 3: Isiah KinerFalef­a had three hits and two RBIs, Taylor Hearn won his fourth straight start and Texas put another dent in Oakland’s playoff hopes. Yohel Pozo singled twice for the Rangers.

DODGERS 8, Padres 0: Max Scherzer got his 3,000th career strikeout and took a perfect game into the eighth inning as Los Angeles beat San Diego to complete a three-game sweep. Scherzer retired his first 22 batters.

D-backs 5, MARINERS 4: Tyler Gilbert gave up two hits in another sharp outing, Ketel Marte homered and Arizona beat Seattle. The Mariners are now three games behind Boston for the second wild-card spot.

Yankees at METS, late: Aaron Judge tied it with his second homer of the game in the eighth inning, Mets infielder Javier Báez gave away the lead with an error a few at-bats later and the Yankees beat the Mets 8-7 on Saturday night.
