OSU gets $1 million gift for wrestling

An anonymous donor has given the Oklahoma State wrestling program a $1 million gift. The money will go toward a significan­t remodel of the team’s locker room. Constructi­on on the 4,200square foot space in the OSU Athletics Center will begin immediatel­y. “This locker room will be the best in college wrestling,” OSU coach John Smith said. “We are very grateful for this important gift and are excited for it to take Cowboy wrestling to an even higher level.”

WOMEN’S GOLF: The No. 3-ranked Cowgirls shot the lowest 54-hole total in school history while winning the Sam Golden Invitation­al at the Wildhorse Golf Club in Denton, Texas. OSU finished 36-under 828 as a team, 13 shots ahead of runner-up Texas Tech OSU’s Caley McGinty finished third in the individual race at 12-under par.
