Dodgers roll past Salt Lake

Oklahoma City collected 19 hits, including three each from Luke Raley, Sheldon Neuse, Carlos Asuaje and Elliot Soto, and the Dodgers whipped Salt Lake 12-2 on Monday at Smith’s Ballpark in Utah.

Cristian Santana, who was named Triple-A West Player of the Week, went 2-for-6 with two RBI. The Dodgers’ third baseman has a six-game hitting streak; during the streak, he is 12-for-24 with two homers, three doubles, eight RBI and seven runs scored.

MLB: The Seattle Mariners haven’t made the playoffs or hosted the AllStar Game since 2001. In 2023, at least one of those things will change. ESPN’s Jeff Passan reported the Mariners and their home stadium, T-Mobile Park, have been chosen to host the 2023 All-Star Game and Home Run Derby. MLB has already chosen the Los Angeles Dodgers as hosts of the 2022 festivities.
