HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

McGuinness junior running back Michael Taffe and North Rock Creek junior cross country runner Jordan Coody won The Oklahoman's Athlete of the Week polls in their respective sports.

Taffe scored four touchdowns on his first eight touches and finished with 154 all-purpose yards in a 49-6 win against rival Tulsa Kelley. Coody won the East Central University Tiger Chase Invitation­al, completing the 5-kilometer run in 17 minutes, 41.22 seconds, more than a minute ahead of the second-place finisher.

Katie Bosley, Oklahoma Christian Academy, 243 votes (.75%)

Tallen Edwards, Southmoore, 82 votes (.26%)
