Reds at PIRATES, late: Wade Miley surrendere­d six runs on 10 hits and the Cincinnati Reds lost for the sixth time in eight games, 6-5 to the Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday night.

Cubs at PHILLIES, late: Patrick Wisdom and Alfonso Rivas hit back-toback homers for the Chicago Cubs in a 6-3 win over a Philadelph­ia Phillies team running out of time to make a serious run in the NL playoff race.

Yankees at ORIOLES, late: Aaron Judge started a five-homer barrage that backed Gerrit Cole, and the New York Yankees beat the Baltimore Orioles 7-2 Tuesday night to win consecutiv­e games.

Cardinals at METS, late: Edmundo Sosa hit the go-ahead single in a three-run 11th inning and the hardchargi­ng St. Louis Cardinals climbed back into playoff position Tuesday with a wild 7-6 victory over the Mets.

Rockies at BRAVES, late: Brendan Rodgers hit a tiebreakin­g, two-run homer in the fifth inning, Trevor Story went deep in the second and the Colorado Rockies held on to beat the Atlanta Braves 5-4 on Tuesday night.

Cleveland at TWINS, late: Cleveland’s Triston McKenzie cruised through six innings of the first game of a doublehead­er to beat Minnesota 3-1 on Tuesday, when a comebacker off the wrist of Twins rookie Joe Ryan shortened the pitching duel.

Astros at RANGERS, late: All-Star slugger Adolis García tied the Rangers’ single-season rookie record with his 30th homer, one of three long balls allowed by Zack Greinke as Texas beat Houston Astros 8-1 on Tuesday night.

Athletics at ROYALS, late: Salvador Perez hit a go-ahead three-run homer in the sixth inning, the Kansas City bullpen bailed out starter Jackson Kowar and the Royals rallied to beat the Oakland Athletics 10-7 on Tuesday.

Angels at WHITE SOX, late: Rookie Gavin Sheets hit a long three-run homer and had four RBIs in his first threehit game, and the White Sox beat the Angels 9-3 on Tuesday night.

Padres at GIANTS, late: Buster Posey homered in the first inning and scored the go-ahead run on an error in the third, and the San Francisco Giants beat the San Diego Padres 6-1 on Tuesday for their ninth straight victory.
