Compared to two weeks ago: Slaughter cows unevenly steady. Slaughter bulls $4 lower. Quality average to attractive with several high dressing cows offered. Demand moderate to good. A total of 738 cows and bulls sold with 52 percent going to packers. Supply included: 45% Feeder Cattle (100% Steers); 29% Slaughter Cattle (90% Cows, 10% Bulls); 27% Replacement Cattle (92% Bred Cows, 8% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs. was 0%.
Slaughter Cows: 1,000-1,600 lbs. Average dressing Breakers and Boners $64- $72.50; Lean Cows $59$64.50; High dressing Breakers (Boners and Lean not tested) $74.50-$76.50; Low dressing Boners and Breakers not tested; Lean cows $49.50-$58.50; Very Low dressing $34-$49; 800-1,000 lbs.
