Ray L. Owens

OKLAHOMA CITY - Memorial Service for Ray L. Owens, 88, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, will be at 10:00am on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Mercer-Adams Chapel in Bethany, Oklahoma under the Direction of Mercer-Adams Funeral Service. Viewing will be Friday, 9am-8pm, with family present from 5-7pm at Mercer-Adams.

He was born on January 27, 1933 in Vici, Oklahoma to Charley & Anice Owens and passed away on September 14, 2021 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was married to Cheryl (Eaton) Owens on November 26, 1960, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Mr. Owens was a landscaper for 50+ years who taught all his family true work ethic and strong family values. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid outdoorsman. His family would like everyone to know how truly loved he was.

Survivors are wife, Cheryl Owens of the home; daughter, Sondra Parsons and Randy of Killeen, TX; 3 sons, Gary Owens of Hurst, TX, Don Owens & Carla of Yukon, OK, & Neal Owens & Kaira of Okarche, OK; sister, Joyce Cox of Oklahoma City, OK; 23 grandkids and 29 great-grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Shirley Bingham & Wilma Bell; and 2 brothers, Larry Owens & Donald Owens.
