MIDWEST CITY - Nadine Neal Carpenter passed away September 16, 2021 at age 86 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. She was born January 5, 1935 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas to Ben and Lena Neal. Nadine graduated from Prairie Grove High School and worked for the University of Arkansas in Fayettevil­le before moving to Tulsa, Oklahoma where she met and married her husband Bob Carpenter in 1954. They moved to Midwest City in 1960. She was a longtime active member of Country Estates Baptist Church in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Nadine taught Sunday school, served on various committees and was a founding member of the Joy Sunday school class. She had many treasured friends there, some for over 60 years! They kept in close contact, constantly emailing about the latest in their lives. In her free time, Nadine loved to create beautiful things from sewing and growing flowers in her garden. She was always willing to help her family and church because helping others was her gift and one of her great desires in life. She was preceded in death by her husband Bob, her parents, one brother, four sisters and an infant grandson, Jesse Neal Carpenter. She was the youngest of six children. She is survived by daughter Caren Scott and husband Rick, son Rob Carpenter and wife Bobbie, grandchild­ren Stephanie Wagner, Grant Skaggs, Kylee Begley and husband Kyle, and Callie Carpenter. She has seven great grandchild­ren, Parker, Brix, Knox, Pax, Tyde, Ridge and Bowen. Viewing will be at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home, Midwest City, Ok. Funeral service will be held Friday, September 24 at 1:00 pm at Country Estates Baptist Church, Midwest City, Ok. Interment will follow at Arlington Memory Gardens Cemetery. Contributi­ons can be made to Country Estates Baptist Church Building Fund in lieu of flowers.
