Oleta D. Kitchens

OKLAHOMA CITY - Oleta was born Aug. 24, 1924 at the family home in East View OK. she peacefully passed away at her residence on Sept. 23, 2021. Oleta graduated as Valedictorian from East View High School & at the age of 18 moved to Oklahoma City where she attended Draughons Business School following graduation she began a lifetime career with Metropolitan Life Insurance Company retiring as Office Administrator. A faithful follower of Christ she was a longtime member of the Church of God, worshiping locally at Shartel Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Gene in 2014; brothers James, Virgil & Darrell Tramel; sisters Lillian Taylor, Edna Hodges & Gwen Meyers She is survived by two brothers; Charles Tramel & Glen Tramel & his wife Chris; & sister Loretta Jones & her husband Gary. The family will be present to receive friends for visitation on Monday, Sept. 27, 2021 from 4-8 PM at Vondel L. Smith Mortuary @ South Lakes 4000 S.W. 119th OKC, 73173. Services to celebrate her home going will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2021 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at 2 P.M. at the Ft. Cobb Cemetery in Ft. Cobb, OK.
