OU gets commitment from top wide receiver recruit

-

Oklahoma picked up its third 2023 commitment from the Los Angeles area on Friday when wide receiver Deandre Moore Jr. picked the Sooners over a group that includes Alabama, USC, Oregon and Florida State.

Moore is rated as a four-star prospect by Rivals, which lists him as the No. 12 wide receiver in the class and the No. 88 player overall.

Two of the receivers listed ahead of him — Brandon Inniss (No. 1 wide receiver, No. 4 overall) and Makai Lemon (No. 6, No. 55) are already committed to the

Sooners.

Lemon and five-star quarterback Malachi Nelson are teammates with Moore for Los Alamitos.

Moore (5-foot-11, 189 pounds) is the Sooners' seventh commitment of the 2023 class, and the third receiver, giving OU one of the strongest offensive classes in recent history.

The class has seven commitments — all offensive players, though Moore also played safety. Rivals has the class ranked No. 1, well ahead of No. 2 Notre Dame.
