EL RENO - Kathryn Mae Taylor was born in Custer City, OK on April 25, 1927. She passed peacefully on September 30, 2021, at home. She was the daughter of Edgar and Dorothy Gray. She married her perfect partner, J.C. Taylor on September 1, 1950, in Oklahoma City where they lived until moving to El Reno in 1967. JC and Kathryn had a timeless love story. Their GODLY marriage was blessed of trust, respect, honor, romance, laughter, and traveling together. They loved blissfully for 67 years, and the world is richer for it.

She graduated from Central High School and went on to attend Hills Business University. She retired from Central Southwestern Bell Headquarters after working 39 plus years. She was a member of the Hillcrest Reviewers Club, Post 34 Legion Auxiliary, and the telephone Pioneers. She was instrumental in forming the Pioneer accounting club and played an active part in the quarterly meetings, holding many offices. She was a trailblazer, philanthropist, self-taught, took classes on the stock market, and was a genius with numbers. An overall amazing woman who constantly gave to anyone in need. She exuded love, respect, tenacity, wit, motivation, and great success.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Shirley Warren Grose and Edgar Max ( Junior) Gray, and her loving husband, JC. Survived by several nieces and nephews and a host of dear friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations, may be made to the local charity of your choice. We would like to give a special thank you to Good Shepherd Hospice for the excellent care in her final months. Her celebration of life is Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at Wilson Funeral home in El Reno, OK. She will be greatly missed and live in our hearts forever.
