James H. Nichols

Ja mes H. Nichols (Nick) was born April 2, 1940 in Oklahoma City and passed away on September 27, 2021 at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents Merrill C. and Ruth G. Nichols. Jim graduated from Northwest Classen High School in 1958 and attended the University of Central Oklahoma. He was in the Air Force and served in Libya during the Vietnam War. He later retired from OG&E and the Air National Guard. Trips to Colorado were an enjoyment to him and he loved all animals, especially his many dogs. His vast record collection was envied by many and his knowledge of songs and artists was amazing. His heart was kind and he was generous to those in need. Jim is survived by his devoted daughter, Jennifer Higgs (Kevin) and her mother Linda Maxwell, grandchildren Callie, Camryn, Boston and Ethan, and his sister Nancy Piccolo (Gary), nieces, nephews, cousins, and his special friend, Karen Meyer.

Graveside services will be Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Resurrection Cemetery, 7801 NW Expressway, OKC, OK 73132. A memorial reception will be held Sunday, October 10, 2021 from 1-3 pm at 14628 Privas Lane, Yukon, OK, 73099 (Montereau Club House)
