Edmond’s VIBES to wrap up season

EDMOND – Edmond’s First Thursdays will wrap up its first seven-month season with the final 2021 VIBES from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday in downtown Edmond.

This final VIBES of the season will bring back live ceramic demonstrat­ions by Erin Harris, Emily Odom and Amelia Synan south of the Edmond Railyard on First Street. Funky cover-band Jane Mays and the Minnie Funk Band also will return for the final event, along with sylphs dancer Micah Wylie, and the Kentucky Daisy Band.

October also will feature activities especially for kids. The Metro Library System will present story time at 6 p.m. along with a free take-home art kit. Other activities will include face painting with Okie Artistry and a performanc­e by the Studio J Dance School in the driveway of the Citizens Bank ATM from 6 to 8:15 p.m.

More than 40 visual artists will be set up throughout downtown Edmond, showing and selling their work. More than 35 participat­ing businesses, including 19 restaurant­s, will stay open late and offer specials on VIBES nights.

VIBES Edmond’s First Thursdays is a program of the Edmond Fine Arts Institute.
