Edmond’s VIBES to wrap up season
EDMOND – Edmond’s First Thursdays will wrap up its first seven-month season with the final 2021 VIBES from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday in downtown Edmond.
This final VIBES of the season will bring back live ceramic demonstrations by Erin Harris, Emily Odom and Amelia Synan south of the Edmond Railyard on First Street. Funky cover-band Jane Mays and the Minnie Funk Band also will return for the final event, along with sylphs dancer Micah Wylie, and the Kentucky Daisy Band.
October also will feature activities especially for kids. The Metro Library System will present story time at 6 p.m. along with a free take-home art kit. Other activities will include face painting with Okie Artistry and a performance by the Studio J Dance School in the driveway of the Citizens Bank ATM from 6 to 8:15 p.m.
More than 40 visual artists will be set up throughout downtown Edmond, showing and selling their work. More than 35 participating businesses, including 19 restaurants, will stay open late and offer specials on VIBES nights.
VIBES Edmond’s First Thursdays is a program of the Edmond Fine Arts Institute.
